NAF Welding School is situated in the beautiful Pacific Northwest 2590 Lummi View Drive, Bellingham on Gooseberry Point. Our facility is graciously donated through Lummi Indian Business Council and located within minutes from the towns of Bellingham and Ferndale as well as the fun and excitement of Silver Reef Casino.
NAF was formed by Art George in August 2006. Art has over 35 years welding and pipefitting experience and has held several positions within his local union governed by the United Association, Building Trades Association and is a former Nooksack Tribal Chairman.
NAF was initially formed to training applicants in aluminum welding. April 2008 the first aluminum training session commenced. March 2009 we officially opened our doors at our new location and began our first carbon plate and pipe course. Since that first session, NAF has successfully trained over twenty students and helped to place the majority of those in jobs.
Our Staff
Art George – Owner/Instructor
Art has over 35 years experience within the welding/pipefitting industry. He has vast knowledge in welding several different types of materials, as well as reading blueprints. Art is also excellent at contract negotiations and business management.
Randy Severson – Instructor
Randy has over 17 years experience within the welding industry. He offers specialized training in all metal welding including exotic metals. Randy is highly educated within the industry and focuses on furthering the educating his students and building their confidence.
Lisa Lee – General Manager
Lisa is a successful business owner of over 16 years and will handle all you questions regarding the school, eligibility requirements, registration, enrollment, payment and funding availability. Lisa has also worked within the pipefitting trade and has knowledge of reading blueprints as well as having some knowledge of welding.
